    Get your creativity flowing! This bucket bag crochet pattern includes instructions for a mushroom bag straight out of a fairytale, with an optional peekaboo window for accessing yarn or wires through the bag. Using the pattern, your choice of colors and decorations can personalize your own cottagecore woodland fairy house for holding traveling treasures. Add shrubbery, or a chimney, or flowers! In terms of personalization, the sky is the limit.

    Skill level: Best for advanced beginner to intermediate crocheters, who are familiar with the terms magic circle, double crochet, half double crochet, single crochet, crocheting in the back loops only (BLO), increases, and decreases. Some basic sewing is involved for decoration.
    Materials needed:
    7mm crochet hook (could also use 6.5mm/size K or 8mm/size L)
    4mm crochet hook (size G)
    Worsted weight yarn (size 4), in base color, cap color, and decoration color(s)
    Tapestry or yarn needle
    Scissors
    Yarn needed:
    Bucket base: 180 yards
    Bag cap: 90 yards
    Strap: 7-8 yards
    Decorations (mushroom spots, door, doorknob, greenery): 2-10 yards
    Language: Pattern is written in English, using USA crochet terms.
    Bag mechanics and size: The cylinder bag cinches closed with a drawstring, and the top cap moves up and down on the bag straps. Once complete the bag is about 6 inches wide and 8 inches tall, depending on yarn type and crocheter tension.
    Pattern itself: The pattern is 5 pages and includes photos and detailed instructions. There are two files which will be available to download; the filename ending in “Printer Friendly” will use less ink for your printing needs.
